My Best Hire
PR Week UK, Friday, 09 December 2005, 12:00am,
Chris Hamer, MD of Triangle PR, on the '110 per cent' Maha Bishay.
'Maha joined Triangle as an account executive in July 2000. I was tipped off about her by a consultancy MD for whom she had done three months' work experience. "Is she bright?" I asked. "Frighteningly," he replied.
'He wasn't kidding - first-class honours degree, Masters degree (with distinction) and five languages. But could she do PR?
'Like Michael Schumacher drives a car, as it turned out. She understands things instantly, but for Maha, just understanding it isn't good enough.
She goes far beyond that, getting under the skin of a subject, defining what is needed and finding the best way of achieving it. She never gives up and always delivers, which is why her clients love her and why we were sorry to see her leave the Triangle team in 2002.'
Maha Bishay is now PR director at Native Instinct PR.
