Companycare in ‘mobile web’ win

The organisation behind the new internet domain for mobile phones – .mobi – has called in agency support to entice users and website operators.
Mobile Top Level Domain hired Companycare Communications after a seven-way pitch.
Nokia, Vodafone and Microsoft set up .mobi so mobile phones could better display websites. The domain has since been backed by ten other companies, including Ericsson, T-Mobile and Hutchison 3G.
Companycare fought off agencies including Weber Shandwick, Text 100 and Bite PR for the brief. Companycare director Kevin Taylor will head the account.
