FTSE 100 boards snub marketers
Marketing, Wednesday, 07 December 2005, 12:00am,
Just 11 of the UK's FTSE 100 companies have a marketer on the main board, according to the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).
However, this is an improvement on last year, when there were four board-level marketers.
At the next level, the operating board, 17 firms have appointed a marketer.
The 11 companies with a marketer on the main board this year are BP, which is the only firm to have two, building services firm BPB, British Airways, Imperial Tobacco, Legal & General, Marks & Spencer, Morrisons, Rentokil Initial, SABMiller, Vodafone and Tesco.
