Resolute shuffles top management
PR Week UK, Thursday, 08 December 2005, 12:00am,
Resolute Communications has restructured its top management and appointed a new managing director.
Founding partners Paul Blackburn and Anna Korving move upstairs, taking the newly created roles of joint chief executives, with US national Phil Sheldon assuming the position of MD just nine months after joining PRWeek's Consultancy of the Year.
Sheldon's new role sees him acting as a mentor for the agency's 34 staff, but he will continue to work with clients from his previous board director position. These include Shire Pharmaceuticals on its renal-failure drug Fosrenol (global), and Roche's oncology brief (global work for two drugs).
'There are a lot of young staff here and I hope to help them focus on their strengths,' said Sheldon.
He relocated from the US this year from an MD role at New York agency Lippe Taylor (PRWeek, 18 March). Prior to that he was general manager at Hill & Knowlton in New York.
Blackburn and Korving founded Resolute in 2002 and will take more 'strategic' roles within the agency.
