Nexus retains bread task
PR Week UK, Friday, 23 September 2005, 9:02am,
Nexus Communications has retained its grip on the Federation of Bakers PR account after its four-year hold on the brief was threatened by a drawn-out competitive pitch.
Nexus is promoting '100 per cent super sandwiches' – lunchbox fillers stuffed with nutrients for kids – as part of a fresh PR onslaught, with nutritionists as spokespeople.
It saw off challengers understood to have included Huntsworth agency Counsel to retain the trade and consumer brief. The trade body represents major players such as British Bakeries and Warburtons, plus smaller outfits.
