RSPCA: five-way pitch for the task |
PHD has retained the £2.7m media task for the RSPCA after a five-way pitch.
The Omnicom agency was re-appointed this week along with AMV BBDO and Lateral - which have been awarded the creative and online businesses for the famous animal charity.
PHD has handled the account since 1996 and in that time has been responsible for the strategy, planning and buying for campaigns focused on broiler chickens and the charity's anti-hunting initiatives.
Despite the relatively low spend, the profile of the organization and its edgy campaigns made it a much sort after client when it called the statutory review in the spring.
PHD media director Nick Bailey said: "It's great news to be reappointed and our new strategy for the RSPCA will take it into environments which will challenge people into reassessing their attitudes to animal welfare."
PHD, AMV BBDO and Lateral will report to the RSPCA's
new head of campaigns, Robbie Marsland, who joined the charity in April from Action Aid.
He said: "I'm delighted in the rebirth of this creative partnership, which I know will go from strength to strength."
