Watering Hole: Sports Cafe

You can't call yourself a true sports fan if you haven't visited the Sports Café.

With 120 TV screens, four super screens, three bars and a dancefloor, there is everything you need to celebrate England's victories and more than enough alcohol, not to mention semi-clad women, to take your mind off any missed penalties.

The restaurant seats up to 320 people and serves American fast food brought to you by girls in short T-shirts and not much else. There are several offers on during World Cup games and "team rooms" where parties of 50 to 1,500 can party or simply watch the latest game.

But the drink is over-priced and the food is greasy. The idea of watching muscled bods running around a football pitch while you stuff your face with chips and burgers dripping in oil does not exactly whet your appetite.

The Sports Café is a good place to go if you like a lot of atmosphere while watching the game, you're not worried about sitting down, you don't mind paying over the odds for drink, or being served by a teenager with an attitude problem, and you can put up with a big rugby player elbowing you out of the way and expecting you to apologise.
