MediaCom tipped to win £15m German telecom account
Mediacom is tipped to pick up the £15m media planning and buying account for German telecoms group Telegate's forthcoming launch of a rival to BT's existing UK directory enquiries service.
The move is expected to follow the appointment of Grey to handle the creative advertising business.
The pitch, understood to have been creative led, also involved Bartle Bogle Hegarty and McCann Erickson alongside their media partners Starcom Motive and Universal McCann.
However, Universal McCann was forced to pull out of the pitch after being awarded the pan-European media planning and buying account for telecoms company T-Mobile International.
Telegate will introduce a service to rival BT's semi-automated system with customer service representatives at the end of every call.
