Grote to lead NPA through 2003
Managing director of Independent News & Media Terry Grote has been appointed as the new chairman of the Newspaper Publishers Association (NPA). He will hold the post for a year commencing 2003.
Commenting on his appointment Grote said: "I am looking forward to leading the NPA and building on the achievements of Clive Milner, my predecessor. I am keen to work with NPA members and the executive team to promote the interests of our industry."
The NPA faces a challenging 2003 and key issues facing the newspaper industry in the coming year include readership research, newspaper distribution and content self-regulation.
NPA director Steve Oram said: "I am delighted to be working with Terry to address the many challenges of the NPA."
