BBC unveils White City regeneration
The BBC is proposing to develop a “Media Village” as part of the White City regeneration project.
The development – which would merge broadcasting with leisure and retail opportunities –has been outlined in a proposal submitted by the BBC for its White City site in Wood Lane, London.
A planning application has been submitted to the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham Council to provide over 131, 000 square metres of accommodation in eight new buildings, just a few hundred yards from BBC Televison Centre.
The planning application includes plans for a new broadcasting centre for television transmission and it will also provide for media companies who have close links with the BBC.
