Abu Dhabi bids to lure UK travellers
Ian Hall, PR Week UK, Friday, 12 August 2005, 12:00am,
Tourism authorities in Abu Dhabi, the wealthiest of the United Arab Emirates, have hired their first UK PR firm.
Hills Balfour has been signed up by the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA) to promote the oil-rich emirate to conference organisers and holidaymakers.
Abu Dhabi sees tourism as a potential growth sector and HB's hire comes ahead of plans to rebrand Abu Dhabi's 'tourism product' in 2006.
Hills Balfour won a pitch believed to have been against Brighter PR and McCluskey International.
