Miller brands net £30m warchest

SABMiller is increasing its focus on the UK with the creation of a local subsidiary, Miller Brands UK.
The division has a £30m marketing budget to raise the profile of its premium lager brands.
John-Pierre van Lin, managing director UK and Ireland for Miller Brewing International, will be the top marketer at Miller Brands UK, which will manage sales, marketing and distribution of the company's lager brands including Pilsner Urquell, Peroni Nastro Azzurro, Miller Genuine Draft and Castle Lager.
A review of all of its UK marketing activity will follow the creation of the unit.
