Kiki King, showbusiness reporter for the Mail on Sunday, has been hired as the Daily Mirror's replacement for Jessica Callan on the 3am column.
Andrew Edgecliffe-Johnson, deputy news editor of the Financial Times, has been appointed as media editor to manage the London-based media, telecoms and IT teams.
Dennis Publishing, publisher of Inside Edge, is to launch another gaming magazine, Total Gambler Next month. Aimed at 18 to 40-year-old men, it will be given free with Maxim as 'an introduction' to the pastime. The new title will be edited by Stephen McDowell.
Victoria Riedl, beauty editor of InStyle, is to take up a similar role at Elle magazine next month. Meanwhile Ellen Burney, currently at fashion title W, is joining Elle as beauty writer. The magazine is to revamp its beauty coverage in 2006. The editor-in-chief is Lorraine Candy.
Susy Smith is to become editor of Coast, a quarterly lifestyle magazine from The National Magazine Company. In addition to this role, she will continue as editor of Country Living. NatMags bought Coast, whose editorial covers all aspects of life by the sea, from publisher Boat International.
Sarah Hedley has taken over as editor of women's sex-themed magazine Scarlet. The Cosmopolitan columnist replaces Emily Dubberley, who has left to concentrate on book-writing. Editorial includes entertainment, holidays and product reviews.
Just Be, a lifestyle magazine for professionals in the beauty and health industries, has been launched by Alex Silver PR. The quarterly title contains product and treatment news and trend forecasts. Contributors include Bethan Cole, Emma Moore and 'The Barefoot Doctor'. The editor of the magazine is Bonnie Estridge.

ITV News has promoted UK editor Tom Bradby to political editor, replacing Nick Robinson, who is to join the BBC. Meanwhile, Daisy Sampson, presenter of BBC2's Daily Politics, is to become ITV's chief political correspondent. ITV News editor is David Mannion.
Matthew Chance, CNN's London-based international correspondent, has been made senior international correspondent at the network's Moscow bureau. He takes up the role next month, replacing Jill Dougherty, who is now managing editor for CNN in the Asia-Pacific region. Tony Maddox is senior V-P of international newsgathering.

Financial news provider Dow Jones Newswires has appointed Andrea Hotter as assistant news editor on its commodities desk. She starts on 1 August and will be responsible for coverage of metals, foodstuff and grains markets in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. She will report to Adam Smallman, energy editor for EMEA.
The Sun's website, at thesun.co.uk, has begun carrying bespoke, Sun-branded video news bulletins produced by The Press Association's multimedia team. The 90-second reports will be updated four times every weekday, with PA also producing a weekly entertainment package. Asha Oberoi is PA head of multimedia.
