Healthcare: CCA links up with China's Eastwei
PR Week UK, Friday, 24 June 2005, 10:52am,
NEW YORK/BEIJING: Healthcare PR specialist Chandler Chicco Agency last week unveiled a 'strategic alliance' with independent Chinese agency Eastwei. The deal is the latest development in CCA's plan to build a healthcare communications network across Asia.
Eastwei has more than 45 staff in offices located in Beijing, Guangzhou and Shanghai, and clients including Bayer and Roche. Its principal is Johan Bjorksten.
News of the partnership with Eastwei follows New York-headquartered CCA's announcement five months ago of a joint venture with Macoll, which is based in South Korea (PRWeek, 28 January).
CCA co-founders Robert Chandler and Gianfranco Chicco are considering adding an office in Japan. The former said the Chinese had a growing 'desire for Western medicine'.
