City & Corporate: Brunswick loses Elementis to FD

PR Week UK, Friday, 17 June 2005, 3:05pm,

Specialist chemicals group Elementis has dumped Brunswick as its retained adviser of 12 years following a shareholder revolt.

Elementis head of corporate communications and investor relations Hilary Reid Evans told PRWeek the appointment of Financial Dynamics to the brief was the result of an 'administrative restructuring' that had led Elementis to take a 'slightly different approach'.

The hire of FD comes a little over a week after turnaround group and Elementis shareholder Hanover Investors secured the resignation of Elementis chairman Keith Hopkins.

Hopkins has been replaced by Hanover principal Edward Bramson.

Supported by Elementis's largest shareholders, Silchester International and Schroders, Hanover has said it is happy to work with the rest of Elementis's management team.
