City & Corporate: Godfrey to head CIPR City group
PR Week UK, Friday, 29 April 2005, 3:53pm,
The CIPR's Corporate + Financial group's committee has elected WestLB corporate communications executive John Godfrey as its new chairman.
Godfrey will take over the reins on 22 June from Simon Brocklebank-Fowler, who becomes deputy chairman.
Godfrey said he would focus his two-year tenure on boosting group members, which currently number 450, and play a policy role in areas of regulation.
Also joining the committee are Penrose Financial associate director Mani Pillai, to deal with membership issues, and former investor relations society CEO Andrew Hawkins, taking the number to ten.
