Fidelity snares Yandle for comms
Tom Williams, PR Week UK, Friday, 25 March 2005, 4:20pm,
Fidelity International, the world's biggest fund manager, has poached a new head of comms just 11 months after losing high-profile executive director of corporate comms Paul Kafka.
Nasdaq managing director for international marketing Peter Yandle is to take up the expanded global role of head of comms next month following the exit of Joerg Moberg.
Moberg, who was formerly Fidelity director of sales for the German independent financial market, took over as executive director of corporate comms after Kafka left to join the London Stock Exchange (PRWeek, 21 May 2004).
The job had been upgraded to reflect the expansion of Fidelity's business through the recent acquisition of asset management companies in Asia, Fidelity said. Yandle will report to chief of staff and global operating committee member Brian Reilly.
Yandle joined Nasdaq in 2002 from Gartmore Investment Management where he was head of corporate comms, having joined as head of direct clients in 1999.
