- UBS, the largest bank in Switzerland, has appointed Publicis to handle its $20 million global advertising account following a competitive pitch.
To win the business Publicis fought off two incumbent Zurich-based agencies, Advico Young & Rubicam and Weber Hodel Schmid.
Weber Hodel Schmid previously held the account of Schweizerische Bankverein, which merged with UBS last year.
A fourth agency, Bosch & Butz, a Zurich-based arm of the Lowe & Partners network, was dropped from the review earlier.
New press and TV work will be developed by Publicis's Zurich office. It is set to kick off later this year in Switzerland before rolling out globally.
