The biggest third quarter service sector increases were seen in information consultancy and PR with growth of 30 per cent and 45 per cent respectively. Net new billings were £830 million compared to £730 million for the same quarter last year.
WPP cited the continuing trend of consolidation in the industry and the winning of several large assignments from existing and new clients such as Ford, Goldman Sachs, KPMG and Nike as the reasons for this growth.
