- Turner Broadcasting International, a division of Time Warner, is planning to create separate advertising sales teams for news and entertainment.
- Turner Broadcasting International, a division of Time Warner, is planning to create separate advertising sales teams for news and entertainment.
The move comes after a surge in advertising growth for both its Entertainment and CNN networks. By dividing the sales teams, TBS hopes to build on the strength of its international brands for CNN, Cartoon Network, Boomerang, and Turner Classic Movies, across traditional and new media platforms.
The decision means Kevin Razvi, formerly the senior vice president of the CNN-branded services in Europe, has been promoted to executive vice president of TBS International advertising sales for news.
Dave Dickman, former advertising sales for the Asia Pacific region, is to become executive vice president for entertainment.
Both men will have responsibility for Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America and Asia Pacific regions and will report to Andy Bird and David Levy, co-presidents of Turner Broadcasting International based in London.
Levy said: " This new structure will help us focus equally on our entertainment properties and news services, positioning the company for continued growth and success in the global marketplace and further expansion in the digital arena."
