Grade, currently chairman of Pinewood Studios and the Octopus Publishing Group, has had a long and distinguished career in the media, spanning director of programmes at London Weekend Television, controller of BBC1 and chief executive at Channel 4.
He was awarded a CBE in the1998 New Year's Honours list.
Grade commented: "The future looks particularly exciting for Digitaloctopus, at a time when most e-ventures need to add distinctive content. The range of existing copyright controlled by digitaloctopus is ideal to be re-formatted as programming for this market."
