CNBC names new European director for global ad sales

- CNBC, the 24-hour business news channel, has appointed Toni McHugh as vice president, European director global advertising sales.

Based in London McHugh will be responsible for managing the network's European sales team as well as integrating sales efforts with CNBC's US and Asia networks.
McHugh joins the company from WCBD-TV in Charleston, South Carolina, where she was general sales manager. She will report to Marga McNally, president and managing director of CNBC Europe and to Paul France, president, CNBC Asia.
CNBC, which is a joint venture company between NBC and Dow Jones, was launched in 1989 and is available in 56 million homes across Europe and 140 million homes worldwide.
