- St Luke's has won the Express newspaper's creative advertising account after a quickly held pitch involving two other agencies.
The advertising co-operative, which held the Observer's account for three years but split with the newspaper last year, beat RPM3 and Young & Rubicam to land the Express business.
The previous incumbent, Leo Burnett, split with the Express earlier this month just eight months after being appointed to the task (Campaign, 4 December). It did not repitch.
At the same time, the Express marketing director, Paul Woolfenden, confirmed that IDK Media has retained the media planning and buying task for the entire Express group. Woolfenden had asked IDK to present new ideas on how to take the Express forward (Campaign, 11 December), but did not invite rival agencies to pitch against it.
