DDB Worldwide has won the $40m account for pharmaceutical giant Merck's anti-asthma drug Singulair.
DDB Worldwide has won the $40m account for pharmaceutical giant Merck's anti-asthma drug Singulair.
The agency beat McCann Erickson Worldwide, J Walter Thompson and incumbent FCB Worldwide for the creative and media planning work for the drug.
FCB's most recent TV work for Singulair focused on consumers leading active lives after taking the drug and use the strapline: "I might have asthma, but I also have a life".
The agency also handles advertising for Merck's arthritis drug Vioxx. TN Media handles media buying for all Merck brands.
