First Choice selects WPP DM agency for pounds 6m Eclipse brand
First Choice Holidays has appointed Perspectives Red Cell to the
pounds 6 million direct marketing account for its Eclipse brand.
Eclipse sells holidays and flights direct to consumers. Perspectives won
the business after a six-way pitch against agencies including the
incumbent agency 141, Tullo Marshall Warren and MBO.
Perspectives' task is to help Eclipse increase sales over the next
year.
Its brief covers creative, strategy and planning across Eclipse's
product range and will focus on bringing in new customers and improving
customer loyalty.
Geoff Lawrence, Eclipse's marketing manager, said: "Eclipse is a strong
brand with loyal customers and an honest approach. Our priority in
appointing Perspectives Red Cell is to maximise our strength in the
market."
Eclipse has brochures covering summer, winter, flights, cruise and
worldwide options. The Eclipse win is the first major account gain for
Perspectives since it took the Red Cell brand along with fellow WPP
agency Conquest.
The pitch team at Perspectives Red Cell was led by the director, David
Moody. He said: "We look forward to the challenge of turning Eclipse
into the leading player in the direct holidays business."
