The recruitment consultant, Media Contacts, has hired two ad sales people as consultants. Paul Evans (pictured) joins from Mirror Group, where he was general ad manager on Antiques Trade Gazette. Caroline Garrity joins from Haymarket, where she worked in display sales on Marketing Event.

Emap On Air has appointed Dave King, formerly broadcast director at
Carat London, to the newly created position of sales director. Bruce
Daisley has been appointed commercial manager of Emap Radio’s new online
business.
Heather Wurt has become head of advertorial and sponsorship on the music
and sport titles at IPC Solutions. She was previously group ad manager
at Emap Elan.
Rosemary Gorman is joining the Daily Mail’s display sales team as head
of client sales on 3 October. She was previously head of planning at
Zenith.
In her new post she reports to the display advertisement director, John
Teal.
Nigel Morris, marketing director at BBJ, is moving to Carat
International where he takes on the new role of communication strategy
director.
Sky Sites has appointed its first ambient manager. Cristina Matassi was
previously an international sales executive at the company. The
appointment came after the company won exclusive rights to sell ambient
space for Eurostar.
Chrysalis Radio has promoted Susan Quinn to sales director for the
North-east and Scotland as part of a sales restructure.
She was previously sales controller of Galaxy 105 and 106, the
Newcastle-based regional station.
Judith Secombe has moved from the National Magazine Company’s Company
magazine, where she was ad director, to become group advertising
director of the Good Housekeeping group.
Kevin Anderson, former field sales executive at The Independent has
joined the Elsevier Science magazine, The Lancet, as display sales
executive. Anderson was placed by Phee Farrer Jones.
Graeme Adams has joined MediaVest as associate director on the Scottish
Courage and Southern Comfort accounts. Adams was previously at BBJ
Media, where he was a senior planner on Cable & Wireless and Bass
business.
WWAV Rapp Collins Media’s TV planner/buyer, Nicky Jones, has been
promoted to TV senior planner/buyer. Jones works on the FilmFour,
Grattan and Park Hampers accounts. The senior planner/buyer, Marc Lewis,
has been promoted to group head. Lewis has been at the agency for two
years, working on Legal and General, Atlas Editions and Dream
Direct.
Sharon Gill, the ex-senior sales executive at UK Gold, has joined Mirror
Group’s magazine The Look as agency sales executive. Gill was placed by
Phee Farrer Jones.
