Opinion: My Best Hire - Bernadette Eddisford
Bernadette Eddisford, now PR and comms officer at Domino's Pizza, PR Week UK, Friday, 28 January 2005, 12:00am,
Jo Leah, managing director of Weber Shandwick North, on the 'intoxicating' Bernadette Eddisford.
'The effusive Bernadette (simply 'B', then) joined me in the mid-1990s when we were starting up the former Lawson Leah PR. One client was Domino's Pizza and B's penchant for the heady mix of PR and pizza was born even then.
'She progressed to account director, leaving no challenge unturned and impressing the hell out of McCann-Erickson when we sold to them.
'B was always driven and unafraid to break new ground with fresh and stimulating ideas. We always plugged our new-biz briefs into the "B machine" because her natural inquisitiveness made her a ferocious researcher and she always managed to find that mind-blowing nugget for the pitch.'
