Crime Concern in first PA chief hire
PR Week UK, Friday, 10 December 2004, 12:00am,
Charity Crime Concern has recruited former Foresight Communications account director Clare Cox as its first head of public affairs.
It has created the role as part of a shake-up of its comms function following the Government’s emphasis on cutting crime in last month’s Queen’s Speech.
Cox said that while the charity welcomed the Government’s approach of early intervention in its bid to cut crime, it will be arguing for further measures, such as extension of youth inclusion projects beyond the 35 extra initiatives pledged by Home Secretary David Blunkett in the autumn.
