NIMH set to boost mental-health PR

Beth Herskovits, PR Week UK, Friday, 03 December 2004, 12:00am,

WASHINGTON: The US National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) this week launched a search for a PR agency as it bids to raise awareness of mental-health issues and promote available treatments.

The account encompasses PR activities around a range of disorders, from depression to Alzheimer’s.

The campaign will include media relations and education efforts to highlight new research and promote disease prevention.

A request for proposals was expected to be released this week, with agency pitches due by early January.
