Harvey turns back on the jungle and quits I'm a Celeb

LONDON - Former East 17 singer Brian Harvey has walked out of 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!' after five days, causing bookmakers Ladbrokes to temporarily suspend all bets.
The singer, who once claimed to have taken nine ecstacy tablets in one night during a live radio interview that ended his singing career, has been grieving for his grandmother, who died a few days before he entered the jungle.
He quit the show after a row with Janet Street-Porter over his farting. Brian broke wind near the cooking area and was berated for it. "First it was smoking. Now it's farting," he said.
An ITV spokeswoman confirmed that Harvey had left the jungle and said "more details would be available at a later stage".
Ladbrokes spokesman Warren Lush said that Harvey's decision to quit had caused a real problem for the bookmaker.
"Brian's decision to quit has put the wind up us. Brian sang 'It's Alright' but clearly things weren't all right between him and Janet. We have temporarily suspended all bets on the series. We're not sure what is going on but the answer is blowing in the wind."
Last night's viewing figures for 'I'm a Celebrity… ' dipped to 8.4m from 9.8m on Wednesday night. The hour-long show from 8pm averaged 7.4m or a 32% audience share, the second worst ratings for the show so far.
ITV2 had a better night than its terrestrial sibling peaking with a 10.9% share and 1,764,700 viewers. The programme average was a 9.5% share and 815,300 viewers.
Yesterday, Harvey's girlfriend Emma B flew out to Australia, sparking rumours she could be about to join the singer or now take his place in the jungle camp.
The show not been plain sailing for Harvey, after being grief stricken and constantly complaining about the lack and type of food. On Wednesday, he failed to impress the camp after collecting just two stars in his bushtucker trial.
After getting a sweet pie and a star for his first challenge, Harvey bit into the second, which was full of green ants. He retrieved the star before screaming "Get me out of here".
Last night, former Royal butler Paul Burrell braved a cave full of snakes, rats and spiders, 'dubbed 'The Temple of Doom' after the 'Indiana Jones' movies, to collect six out of a possible 11 meals for his fellow 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!' contestants as tempers in the camp frayed and the girls got bitchy.
While Burrell was psyching himself up for the challenge, former All Saints singer Natalie Appleton and model Sophie Anderton had a slagging match, with Appleton screaming at Anderton: "I'm a bit pissed off with you. You're Miss Perfect for the camera -- well, you can carry it yourself. Everyday it's 'me, me, me'."
The pair later hugged and made up, although Anderton may have cheered up at the news that her adversary had to do a surprise bushtucker trial live on television.
Lush said that following the spat between the two, viewers have sided with the bra model.
"We have seen plenty of money for Natalie to go first and been forced to slash her odds from 14/1 into 3/1 second favourite. Sheila Ferguson remains favourite to be the first to get the boot from the jungle."
