H-P rejigs PR for consumer focus
PR Week UK, Friday, 19 November 2004, 12:00am,
Hewlett-Packard has revamped its EMEA PR structure as it bids to become more consumer-facing.
The computing giant has set up small medium business (SMB) and consumer EMEA PR operations. In the past, it split PR according to product portfolios.
Retained agencies Hill & Knowlton and Porter Novelli have consequently won accounts – worth around £500,000 each – off each other. H&K scooped a Personal Systems Group EMEA consumer brief off PN, which has landed H&K’s Commercial Printing Solutions EMEA SMB work.
H&K now handles all consumer PR in the region, while PN is the SMB agency.
