PRWeek names Rogers as editor

PR Week UK, Friday, 29 October 2004, 12:00am,

PRWeek has appointed Daniel Rogers as its new editor. Rogers, currently deputy editor on sister title Marketing, will take up his post toward the end of the year, reporting to publishing director Peter Goldstein.

Rogers spent five years working in PR at the start of his career – at the then Paragon Communications – before stints reporting for both PRWeek and Marketing.

He said: ‘PR is much maligned but is increasingly critical to both business and government. It is a fascinating sector full of talented and charismatic people, which should always create lively copy.’

Rogers succeeds outgoing executive editor Gidon Freeman, who is leaving the magazine after five years to join independent public and corporate affairs consultancy Lexington Communications as a senior consultant.
