Yahoo! takes its arrows to streets
Richard Cann, PR Week UK, Friday, 10 September 2004, 12:00am,
Yahoo! is unleashing a guerrilla marketing assault on the streets of London this month to raise the profile of its search engine.
Following a competitive pitch, Bite Communications will manage a PR drive that sees giant purple arrows appear at various events.
The arrows will target commuter areas and trendy bars, pointing to targets with key search phrases such as ‘highflyer’, ‘quick snog’ and ‘beer goggles’.
It will also provide consumer media with research on search engine usage, such as the fact that women give-up more easily than men.
