People moves: Abbey

Mark Russell, head of J Walter Thompson's (JWT) research arm, has quit to join Abbey in the new role of head of brand. He will be responsible for developing and communicating the bank's brand strategy and managing its ongoing rebranding process.
Russell will report to Abbey's director of brand and communications Jeremy Davies. At JWT, he was head of The Knowledge Centre and was responsible for providing research and analysis on subjects such as branding.
