Public Affairs: GPC wins Stirling Park comms deal
PR Week UK, Friday, 18 June 2004, 12:00am,
Glasgow-based revenue management firm Stirling Park LLP has drafted in GPC International as its first public affairs agency as new legislation is prepared in Scotland.
The firm appointed GPC at the same time as charging Indigo with a B2B media relations brief to raise the profile of the Stirling Park brand in the debt management industry.
Both firms report to Stirling Park MD Adam Lewis, who is stepping down to hand the role to director Jonathan Lewis in July, and head of business development Ann Wood.
GPC Scotland director Sarah Chisnall said new legislation had caused uncertainty in some quarters of the financial services and revenue management industry and that GPC's work would involve helping Stirling Park to shape the Scottish Executive's policy decisions.
Personal bankruptcy and diligence legislation is expected to relax bankruptcy rules for commercial and personal debt.
- GPC International has appointed the Conservative Party's head of regional and specialist press Gavin Megaw as a consultant.
He joins after six years at Conservative Central Office, where he reported directly to the Conservative leader and the Shadow Cabinet.
