BRANDING: BAT picks Knapp Goodwin to build F1 paddock suite
Marketing, Thursday, 11 March 2004, 12:00am,
British American Tobacco (BAT), sponsor and owner of the British American Racing Honda Formula One team, has chosen brand consultancy Knapp Goodwin to handle the build and installation of a hospitality suite for F1's exclusive Paddock Club.
In some countries, including the UK and US, BAT branding will have to be removed from the suite due to legislation coming into force this year banning tobacco advertising in F1. To this end, the suite has been designed with 'detachable' branding.
The portable suite will be in evidence at most Grand Prix this season, which began last weekend. Knapp Goodwin will also handle storage and logistics for the project over the next two years.
Other F1 clients managed by Knapp Goodwin include Jaguar and Toyota.
