Nestling among corporate information and details of industry partners in a classy and rather creatively designed site lies a potential Web-based ’killer app’. A searchable database of all UK train times.

The ultimate test? It has to be 0345 484950 versus my keyboard. The
task?
Find the times for a London to Edinburgh sleeper on Friday night. The
results? The phone call took two minutes 14 seconds, the Website, one
minute 35 seconds. And before you cry foul, that is exclusive of the Web
being fired up. I’m still impressed, though, and it is now in my
bookmarks.
My only worry is that within an excellent corporate and
business-relations site, the consumer-oriented timetable database may
lie undiscovered. Gentle reader, please ensure that this doesn’t
happen.
