European Union focuses on discrimination in the workplace
Marketing, Thursday, 18 December 2003, 12:00am,
The European Union is focusing on the danger of discrimination in the workplace with a 30-second ad by German advertising and PR agency Media Consulta. Breaking this week, the spot is the first in a five-year European-wide anti-discrimination campaign, worth seven million euros (£4.9m) over the next two years. The ad depicts a potential employee entering an office where the workers are crash-test dummies. The interviewer, also a dummy, tells him: "You would never fit in here." The ad is the first to come out of Media Consulta's London office, which opened this week and will act as its network centre for artwork, TV production and youth and music marketing.
