APPOINTMENT: Broadcasting giant BSkyB this week confirmed the promotion of Adrian Lee to the role of director of publicity. Lee said a recruitment search would begin shortly to fill his former role as head of programme publicity. In his new role, Lee replaces John Brissenden, who left BSkyB earlier this year.
CONSUMER: Organic skincare brand Lavere has appointed Debbie Cain PR to handle all press work. The Bromley-based agency reports to the German firm’s distribution outlet in Dumfries, Scotland.
ACQUISITION: Financial and corporate PR firm Binns & Co has acquired Bristol-based PR firm Winningtons , which will change its name to Binns Winningtons.
Winningtons founders, chairman Philip Parkes and MD Ken Rees, have joined the Binns board.
TECH: Johnson King PR has been hired to launch two-year-old US tech firm AirMagnet to the UK, French and German media at the start of November. Account director Claire Sumner leads the 12-month PR campaign.
CONSUMER: Household cleaning firm Vileda has appointed Dig for Fire to promote its products to consumers and trade in 2004. PR division head Sarah Chapman leads the account team.
APPOINTMENT: Emerald Media has launched a B2B and B2C promotional campaign for Swiss airline Club Airways, which is touted as ‘the world’s first members-only airline’. The Geneva-based airline earlier this month launched a route into London’s City Airport twice each week day.
