Tom Williams, PR Week UK, Thursday, 04 September 2003, 12:00am,
PRWeek has been named as the first ever media partner for the fourth annual PR Showcase conference, which is run by Evensis and will be held later this month.
PRWeek editor-in-chief Kate Nicholas will be chairing a session with Evening Srandard financial editor and BBC head of corporate relations and PR Andrew Whyte on the final day of the conference, which takes place at Kensington Town Hall in London on 23 and 24 September.
Also attending are former director of communications for the now defunct Department for Transport, Local Government and the Regions Martin Sixsmith, Borkowski PR founder Mark Borkowski and former legal adviser to the security and intelligence services David Bickford.
The two-day event, which last year attracted 400 visitors, features a series of seminars on issues affecting the PR industry and workshops aimed at improving PR firms’ strategy and techniques.
Also being addressed will be issues surrounding celebrity PR.
