DIARY: Too big a headstart for Finsbury charity swim
PR Week UK, Friday, 15 August 2003, 12:00am,
Finsbury executive Gordon Simpson is doing things back to front regarding a pledge to swim the English Channel for charity.
He completed the event in a commendable 16 hours, but before he had a chance to send out letters for sponsorship to his many City contacts.
The event was brought forward at the last minute, due to the good weather and calm seas. 'We had to take advantage of the opportunity,' said Simpson.
