Enterprise Insight poised to raise PR after funds boost
PR Week UK, Wednesday, 23 July 2003, 12:00am,
Enterprise Insight, the Government and business sector- backed body set up to encourage young entrepreneurs, is to step up its PR.
After securing £1m of funding, the body has announced the creation of a raft of director posts and plans to hire a PR agency.
CEO Kevin Steele says the five director-level posts have been created to target specific audiences – youth, policy makers, media, stakeholder relations and fundraising.
He said: ‘We will then get together and decide how best to use resources… there will be the need for a PR agency to handle the bulk of the business.’
He added that further staff hires were also likely.
Campaigning work will include the likely nationwide roll-out of a scheme called Entrepreneurs in Residence. This involves enlisting local business leaders for school-based campaigning.
Enterprise Insight was formed in 2000 and is backed by 11 organisations, including the CBI.
