MEDIA: Future launches a video games mag for gadget lovers
PR Week UK, Friday, 30 May 2003, 12:00am,
Future Publishing this week launched PSNext to target the 'gadget-loving, twentysomething PlayStation 2 owner' and named Sam Richards as editor.
Richards previously edited sister title Official PlayStation 2 for a year.
The new magazine seeks to 'celebrate video games as a cutting edge entertainment art form', exploiting innovations such as online gaming.
PROs looking to reach 'early adopters' of new technology should target the magazine, said senior editor Mike Goldsmith.
The bi-monthly magazine goes on sale this week (29 May), with plans to go monthly by September.
- Paragon Publishing has launched iCreate, targeting creative Mac users.
The magazine will examine 'the more aspirational aspects of owning an iMac or iBook'.
