Brahm names its joint MDs prior to an expected MBO
PR Week UK, Friday, 31 January 2003, 12:00am,
Northern PR, advertising and marcoms firm Brahm has appointed joint MDs to run the firm as part of a planned management buy-out.
Directors John Morgan and Julie Hanson have taken on the roles in a move designed to allow a smooth succession plan to its outgoing founders, chairman Mike Baxandall, deputy chairman Clive Rand and director of asset management Tony Handley.
Rand and Handley are due to leave at the end of the year, although Rand will continue as an ad hoc consultant, while Baxandall is expected to remain for a handover period of up to three years.
The newly named joint MDs will help continue to grow the agency, now in its 20th year.
Joint MD of PR Malcolm Cowing said the agency is not considering any imminent expansion outside Leeds, but added the firm aims to grow certain sectors.
