Sir Nick Lloyd has resigned as editor of the Daily Express. Lloyd, who has edited the title for ten years, will leave his post on 30 November. He said the decision to leave was ‘a wrench’, but gave no indication of what he intended to do in the future. The Daily Express has suffered a steady decline in sales for the past five years. Agency buyers have been critical of the lack of investment in the title by Express Newspapers, which was again rumoured this week to have put the title up for sale.
