Lands' End to hold pitch as emphasis moves to strategy
PR Week UK, Friday, 17 January 2003, 12:00am,
Clothing retailer Lands' End is to stage a pitch for consumer PR support.
Newly appointed PR and advertising director Rob Galkoff this week announced a review of the existing account, which has been held by Flax PR for the last two years.
Galkoff said: 'We have asked Flax PR to repitch for the business as well as opening the remit to other interested parties. The decision to relook at the agency we work with is no reflection on Flax. The brief is very different and we are keen to find the right partner to work with us in the future.'
He said the new brief will have a greater emphasis on strategy and no longer contains product placement, which has been taken in-house.
He added that he hoped to make contact with agencies this month for a pitch in February, and an appointment by early March.
