PUBLIC SECT0R: Scope campaign targets disabled in the workplace
PR Week UK, Friday, 06 September 2002, 12:00am,
Scope will this week launch a PR push to help the disabled in the workplace.
The campaign includes promoting a web-based survey aimed at the disabled, employees and employers. The results will then be published in a report in March next year.
According to Scope acting campaigns manager Ruth Scott the charity hopes that the survey will 'give us a clearer picture of the issues and concerns that currently prevent firms and organisations from employing disabled people'.
Promotion of the online survey is supported by a block of free advertising space given by London Underground (PRWeek, 21 June). Posters showing disabled children acting out their dream jobs will be displayed from today (6 September) until 4 October on 1,550 sites.
