Conde Nast Online is losing its editor Dan Conaghan to Hollinger, the parent company of the Telegraph Group and of the Chicago Sun-Times. He becomes a UK vice president of Hollinger Digital, the company's new-media arm. He will have a remit to establish a British presence for Hollinger Digital, developing new business, looking at new and existing web brands and investigating new-media markets.
Conaghan has worked for Conde Nast for 18 months, overseeing the company's umbrella web site, which contains content from titles including Vogue, Tatler, Conde Nast Traveller, GQ and World of Interiors. He has also been in charge of Conde Nast's online contract publishing activities, which include providing content for the Burton Group web site. He joins Hollinger in mid-December.
