John Mahony: ReputationInc CEO
ReputationInc teams with VMA Group to launch 'capability' practice

Comms consultancy ReputationInc has launched a dedicated coaching and capability arm.
The agency has created The Reputation Academy and built, what it claims is, the industry’s first reputation management curriculum designed around the core skills of reputation management.
CEO John Mahony said: ‘In the war for talent and reputation leadership, having a real commitment to continually advance and improve your communication team’s skills is business critical.’
ReputationInc has also joined with professional development arm of recruitment consultancy VMA Group to market the new modules in Asia Pacific. The Asia-Pacific venture will be led by Kellie Brown from VMA Enhance’s Asia-Pacific office.
The agency has created coaching modules including: ‘be a reputation manager’, ‘strategic public affairs’, ‘building brand reputation’, ‘campaign planning’, ‘planning & content, and ‘social media for corporate comms’.
It has set up a ‘faculty’ of corporate comms and media experts to help deliver the coaching and training programmes.
Partner Jonathan Chandler commented: 'Training and development in the industry has not kept up with the pace of change in the external world and most often stops at media training. Our coaching philosophy leans heavily into best practice, role-play, learning case studies and hearing from external experts, ensuring the modules are pitched for senior, advanced practitioners.
'Our partnership with VMA will accelerate our growth internationally given its established brand and growing overseas network.’
ReputationInc employs 30 people across its London and Dublin offices, and handles clients including Diageo and Visa.
