August. One wins Monster B2B and consumer remit
Online recruitment firm Monster.co.uk has handed August. One
Communications its £120,000 B2B and consumer PR business following
a three-way competitive pitch.
The account - previously held by Weber Shandwick Worldwide as part of a
Europe-wide deal - was put out for review five months ago.
One-year incumbent WSW was not involved in the final shortlist. But
Monster has confirmed it still uses WSW on a European PR co-ordination
remit.
Monster.co.uk marketing director Simon Parker said: 'We were very happy
with Shandwick, but we wanted a dedicated UK resource and the start of
the summer was a natural time for us to review.'
He added: 'We have built a powerful online brand - converting these good
feelings into action is now the challenge and August. One will be closely
involved.'
August. One senior consultant Ellie Springett, who will run the account,
said: 'We are going to be telling the good stories that they have
already got, taking them outside of the HR space, getting them into
trade titles such as Computer Weekly and working with industry bodies
such as the Marketing Society.'
Springett said the agency would also be working closely with the
company's other marketing suppliers: 'We will work closely with Saatchi
& Saatchi and Zenith Media so that what we do will be reflected in
advertising - it is more integrated than I have known before.'
The agency will report to Monster European marketing manager Georgia
Giorgialongoni.
Monster is part of TMP Worldwide, one of world's biggest recruitment
companies.
